Park Snaps

These are a few snaps of my local park,
where we’re thinking about doing some of the filming.

I thought the vast open spaces of my park, would be the ideal place to shoot some scenes, if we decide to continue down the initial concept we have devised. I liked the thought of there being some stalker elements. I know this is dark and sinister but it will be used to show obsession, which can be linked to the song. This can link with the lyrics, 'This is a song for anyone who can't get out of bed', 'This is a song for anyone with a broken heart' because the boy will find it hard to do anything because he is in love with a girl, who doesn't even know he exists.

The park will hold a significant place within the music video because the boy can try to convince his obsession, to maybe go on a romantic date to the park with him. He will be dressed to impresses, along with his picnic. But we're not sure whether she'll go with him, so there may be some kind of kidnapping.

Finally it's not uncommon for an indie music video to be filmed around nature, take for example Florence + the Machines- Heavy in your arms- during this she is dragged by the legs across the leafy surface of a park/woods. In addition Birdy uses a park for the majority of her music video, Shelter, and Noah + the Whale also centre the original Blue Skies song around a lake, and woodlands.

  1. A really good start to your blog, Hannah. Keep it up. Definitely in line for a blog of the week award if you keep this up.

Remember to make sure you have posted relevant material for all 9 of the pre-production tasks (which can include links to others from your group's work for tasks where only one of your needed to do it).

It might be good to develop this post with some explanation of why you've chosen this location and how it fits in with your narrative.
